Jordan Bridges (born November 13, 1973 in California, U.S.) is an American actor. He is the son of actor Beau Bridges and Beau's first wife Julie Landifield. He's the nephew of Jeff Bridges and grandson of Lloyd Bridges. Jordan has one adopted brother and three half-siblings from his father's second marriage. He married artist-inventor Carrie Eastman in 2002 and has a daughter with her named Caroline (nicknamed "Lola"). Their son Orson was born on October 20, 2005.
Bridges acted at the age of five in the television film "The Kid from Nowhere," directed by his father. Then he left acting and returned once more in the television film "The Thanksgiving Promise" (1986) starring the entire Bridges family. Then he left acting, because he didn't want to be a child actor. So he attended L.A.'s progressive Oakwood school with a strong emphasis on the arts and that got him interested in acting again. He followed it up as a theater major and literature minor at New York's Bard College. Before earning his bachelor's degree, Bridges spent his junior year in England studying at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, living in a tiny basement flat in Chelsea, eating lots of chicken noodles and attending West End theater productions on free passes. Although classically trained, he still worked as a "cater waiter" in New York and Los Angeles for a couple of years each before he started getting roles in films, television series, and theater. He starred in the short-lived NBC series Conviction as Nick Potter, a lawyer from an "old money" family of prominence, who leaves his job at a private law firm to join the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. He is also known for his starring role in the 2002 film, New Suit, as well as a recurring role on the TV series, Dawson's Creek and a guest role in the series Charmed season four two part premiere episode as Paige's boyfriend. He plays the recurring character Tom Hastings in the new Bionic Woman series. He has also played supporting roles in the films Drive Me Crazy, Happy Campers and Frequency.
He is a graduate of Bard College where he studied performing arts.
