Jonathan E. Silverman (born August 5, 1966 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, perhaps best known for his roles in the TV series Gimme A Break!, as well as in the films Brighton Beach Memoirs (a film version of the first play of Neil Simon's Eugene Trilogy, Caddyshack II, Little Big League, and Weekend at Bernie's and its sequel.
Jonathan Silverman also played the title role in the high-rated but short-lived mid-1990s television sitcom The Single Guy, which aired on NBC. He also appeared on CSI: Miami (in a 3rd season episode called "Under the Influence"). He last starred in the short-lived sitcom, In Case of Emergency which was a mid-season replacement on ABC for the 2006 season.
Jonathan is married to actress Jennifer Finnigan who has appeared in the series The Bold and the Beautiful and Close to Home. He is the step-godfather to comedian Sarah Silverman .
School friends with David Schwimmer (I) from TV series "Friends" (1994).
Grandfather is the world-famous Rabbi Morris Silverman.
