Jonathan Gilbert (born July 10, 1968) is an American former film and television actor.
Gilbert is best known for his performance as Willie Oleson on the NBC TV series, Little House on the Prairie, from 1974 to 1983. He is the adopted son of actors Barbara Crane (born Barbara Cowan) and Paul Gilbert and brother of Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder on the series. He is also the brother of Sara Gilbert. He is also one of only six actors on Little House on the Prairie to appear throughout the entire series (from season one to the TV movie sequels), the others being: Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, Richard Bull, Kevin Hagen, and Dabbs Greer.
Since Little House on the Prairie ended production, Gilbert attended and graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. degree followed by an MBA in Finance Bernard M. Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business. He is now working as a stockbroker in New York City.
Grandson of comedy writer Harry Crane (I).
Brother of Melissa Gilbert (I) and Sara Gilbert.
Adopted son of Paul Gilbert (II) and Barbara Cowan.
After leaving acting, Jonathan earned his BA from Hamilton College and an MBA in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
