Johnny Sanchez is an actor, writer and producer who graduated from Performing Arts High School (aka La Guardia H.S.) in New York City.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Johnny moved to Los Angeles and later returned to New York City where he trained at the Bill Esper Studios. During that time, he also joined LAByrinth Theater Company, currently run by Artistic Directors: Philip Seymour Hoffman & John Ortiz. He was a member of LAByrinth for 12 years (1993-2005).

In 2002 he formed a company, 3 Wolves Production, and co-produced the film Find Me Guilty which was directed by Sidney Lumet and was released in 2006. Vin Diesel, Linus Roache, Peter Dinklage, Ron Silver, Annabella Sciorra and Alex Rocco starred in the film which was based on the true story of Giacomo “Jackie Dee” DiNorscio (Vin Diesel), a member of New Jersey’s notorious Lucchese crime family, and his trial where he defended himself without a lawyer, before the highest court in New Jersey in what turned out to be the longest criminal trial in the history of the United States.

In 2005 he produced, in association with The American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women, and wrote 'A through M' a dramatic short film inspired by the aftermath of 9/11. The film was directed by Heidi Miami Marshall and has won several awards in film festivals.

In April 2007, he appeared as 'Tito' in the independent film 'Downtown: a street tale' opposite John Savage, Burt Young and Genevieve Bujold. As well, that same month the film 'Even Money', which he Co-Produced, was also released in theaters. The film received some very cold reviews among critics although it had a great cast that included Danny DeVito, Kim Basinger, Kelsey Grammer, Ray Liotta and Forest Whitaker.

His other acting film credits include: 'Transformers' Directed by Michael Bay, 'A through M' Directed by Heidi Marshall, '212' Directed by Anthony Ng, 'Bowfinger' Directed by Frank Oz. 'The Limey' directed by Steven Soderbergh, 'The Hardway' Directed by John Badham and 'Outrageous Fortune' directed by Arthur Hiller.

On July 2, 2007 an article in The Hollywood Reporter incorrectly reported that Johnny Sanchez had been hired, as a regular, on Fox's program MADtv. Johnny Sanchez's photo was also incorrectly published next to the article and it stated that he voiced 'Lombardo' in the Warner Bros. animated movie, Happy Feet.

The truth is that stand-up comedian Johnny A. Sanchez, from Los Angeles who has appeared in comedy clubs all over the United States, was the voice of 'Lombardo' in 'Happy Feet' and has joined Fox's late-night sketch comedy show Mad TV as a regular. Where as actor/producer Johnny Sanchez is from New York City and he is not a stand-up comedian. The mistake in that article occurred due to the omission of the middle initial which differentiates both artists.

Johnny Sanchez attended the High School of Performing Arts (La Guardia H.S. of Music and Art) where he graduated as a theater major. After high school he went on to The New School, afterwards he trained at Bill Esper Studios where he took the two year intensive program with Bill Esper. Johnny Sanchez is member of Labyrinth Theater Company.
