John Putch began his professional career as an actor at the age of 5, in a summer theater run by his father. He has had a respectable television and film career and now directs. Some of his feature films are: Valerie Flake (1999) (official selection 1999 Sundance Film Festival), Pursuit of Happiness (2001), _BachelorMan (2002)_ the documentary This Is My Father (1998/II) and the multi award winning Mojave Phone Booth (2006).
John Putch was born on July 27th 1961 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the actress Jean Stapleton, and the late producer/director William H. Putch. He began his professional career as an actor at the age of five, in a summer theater run by his father, The Totem Pole Playhouse located in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. John has had a successful career as and actor and now enjoys directing.
