John Johnson, 8th Seigneur of Sark ( - 1723) was Seigneur of Sark from 1720 to 1723.

The colonel and former commander of the garrison in Guernsey bought the fief from Lord Carteret in 1720.

Sir John Johnson, 2nd Baronet (5 November 1741 - 4 January 1830), was a loyalist leader during the American Revolution. He was the son of the Superintendent of Indian Affairs, Sir William Johnson, 1st Baronet, who had promoted the British settlement of the Mohawk Valley and founded the community of Johnstown in Tryon County in the Province of New York.

Sir John Johnson, who assumed office in 1771, was the last Provincial Grand Master of Masons in the colonies of Province of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Johnson married Mary Watts (daughter of John Watts of New York) on 30 June 1773. The couple had eight sons, all of whom served in the British army and navy, and three daughters.

In 1774, John Johnson inherited his father's title and estates, making him a wealthy landowner. In 1775, he was appointed doorkeeper of the New York Provincial Assembly.

John Johnson (c. 1545 - 1594) was an English lutenist, composer of songs and lute music, attached to the court of Queen Elizabeth I. He was the father of the lutenist Robert Johnson.

John Johnson ( 1805 - February 5, 1867) was a Democratic U.S. Representative from Ohio.

Born in Ireland, he moved to the U.S. and came to live in Coshocton County, Ohio. He entered politics in 1843, serving in the Ohio Senate, then later as a delegate from Coshocton County to the Ohio state Constitutional Convention in 1850 and 1851. Later he served as a U.S. Representative from Ohio's 16th District from 1851 to 1853.

He is buried at Oakbridge Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio.

John Howard Getty "J.J." Johnson (born October 18, 1947 in Carthage, Mississippi) is a former American basketball player. Johnson was a 6’7” small forward who played high school basketball at Messmer High School, (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and collegiately for Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming and for the University of Iowa. He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 7th pick of the 1970 NBA Draft. He went on to have a productive twelve-year NBA career with four teams, making two NBA All-Star Game appearances and scoring 11,200 career points. He also won an NBA championship ring as a key contributor for the 1978-1979 Seattle SuperSonics.

His son, Mitch, is a sophomore on the Stanford University basketball team.

John Johnson is an American television news reporter. He had been a fixture in New York City television news for many years.

He is best known for his long run at WABC, where he served as a rotating anchor of the 6 p.m. newscast in the aftermath of Roger Grimsby's firing (he had been working on Eyewitness News since the 1970s). In the 1990s he switched to reporting, and was one of WABC's original reporters at the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1994.

During that time, Johnson left WABC for WCBS, and became co-anchor of the station's 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. He was fired by WCBS in the mid-1990s in a mass dismissal where many of the station's news personalities found themselves looking for work.

When WNBC launched a noon newscast, Johnson moved over to that station and became the newscast's anchor. However, Johnson left the station for family reasons a few months into his run at WNBC and never returned to TV. He still resides in Manhattan and currently works in the insurance industry.

His campaign was the third most successful campaign of a Green candidate in that election after Shane Jolley in Bruce—Grey—Owen Sound and the candidate in the Calgary Centre-North riding.

John "Mr. J" Johnson (born 1918) is a retired athletic trainer for the New York Giants of the National Football League.

He started working for the Giants in 1948 working at the Giants training camp and retired in 2008 after the Giants won Super Bowl XLII. He worked on the sidelines for 874 regular season games and 34 post season games. In addition he worked as a trainer for Manhattan College.
