James "Jim" Simpson (born February 21, 1956 in Hawaii) is an Obie award winning theater and film director, known for a commitment to avant-garde work. Founder of The Flea Theater in New York City. Husband of actress Sigourney Weaver, the couple has one daughter, Charlotte. Simpson is the son-in-law of media executive Sylvester L. Weaver Jr. and actress Elizabeth Inglis.
In 2002, Simpson directed the film The Guys starring his wife, Sigourney Weaver.
Jim Simpson (born December 29, 1927) is a retired American sportscaster, known for his smooth delivery as a play-by-play man and his versatility in covering many different sports. In 1997, he won the Sports Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2000 he was inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame.
