Jewel De'Nyle (born August 5, 1977) is an American pornographic actress and director. Her stage name is presumably a reference to the 1985 mainstream film The Jewel of the Nile. She is of Spanish, Sicilian and English ancestry.
De'Nyle was discovered by actress Selena Steele during her tenure as an exotic dancer. After being featured in Hustler magazine, she began her career in pornography, her first movie being 1998's Electric Sex.
Believing that she should not give everything away at once, she waited a year before doing her first anal scene, then waited a while before doing double penetration, then delayed for a time before doing interracial scenes. Her last movie featured her first double vaginal penetration in a scene with Gus Casanova and Julian. movie Named "Jewel De'Nyle's Last Movie (2004)"
She was for a time a contract performer for New Sensations, and was in a relationship with pornographic actor Peter North for over two years.
De'Nyle directed her first porn film in 1999, and since then has helmed more than 60 others. In 2004, she retired from performing—after appearing in more than 200 films—to concentrate solely on producing and directing.
In January 2003, she was a founding part owner of porn studio Platinum X Pictures, located in San Fernando Valley, California. De'Nyle left Platinum X in June 2006. .
De'Nyle's parents, Larry and Debbie Schwarz, worked for the business side of Platinum X Pictures, and remained with the company after her departure. Larry is not her biological father, but has raised her since age six.
Her mother is now also a pornographic actress going by the name De'Bella. She was involved in a dispute with her mother ("De'Bella") as to her proceedings on camera and using Jewel's name to gather fame in the industry. By the start of the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo they had reconciled their differences, with De'Nyle saying that the biggest part of their reconciliation came when De'Bella left Platinum X Pictures.
As of July 2006, De'Nyle is now contracted to direct for Fifth Element and her first release for them (Sultry Sinful Asians, starring Mya Luanna) was scheduled for August 2006.
In a podcast interview in mid-2006, De'Nyle indicated she would consider returning to on-screen work for a scene with Stormy Daniels.
De'Nyle has been open about her bisexuality, stating that she has had "girlfriends on the side" (and naming Serenity as one of them) . She was reported in September 2005 as being "newly married", but no details were given about who her husband was.
During her years as a professional dancer, Jewel De'Nyle has electrified audiences throughout Europe and the US with her style, grace and sheer animalistic sexuality. During her standing room "adults only" shows, Jewel performs in a variety of costumes in a wide array of themes, all ending with the same result: her supple tanned body writhing in ecstasy throughout the stage. Quite a long way to come for the little girl from Colorado. Jewel is the only child of two loving and supportive parents who not only know her aspirations as an adult actress but support her 100%. This strong sense of family has inspired Jewel to become what she is today, a confident, secure and intelligent woman. From an early age Jewel knew what she wanted and set her plan in motion. Jewel officially set her sights on the adult film industry in April 1998, appearing in a handful of movies before signing an exclusive contract with New Sensations. After careful consideration and discussion between Jewel and company president Scott Taylor (XXII), they realized that they had common goals and interests; to make great movies with the industry's most talked-about new face. Taylor's interest began at their first meeting, "I see a lot of new girls day after day, but Jewel has a personality to match her beauty". It was her first scene that solidified the interest, however. "She had the entire crew mesmerized. These are people who see sex every day. It takes a lot to get their attention."
