Jerry Ferrara (b. November 25 1979, Brooklyn, New York) is an Italian-American actor. He attended New Utrecht High School. Ferrara is best known for his work as Turtle on the HBO comedy series Entourage, which revolves around a rich, young actor and his friends.
In an interview about his breakout role on the show, Ferrara said that he told his friends he had received a role in a television pilot and they asked, "What's that?" Kevin Connolly said of his Entourage co-star that "Jerry’s very domesticated. He’s probably the most different from his character. Through Entourage's four season history, Turtle has gained substantial substance and storyline attention as a character. He briefly managed rapper _Saigon in Seasons 2 and 3.
Prior to Entourage, he co-starred in the movie Cross Bronx. He also guest-starred on such series as NYPD Blue, Grounded for Life, Law & Order and The King of Queens.
Recently Ferrara appeared as "Turtle" for a DirecTV commercial (his dialog is mixed with a clip from an Entourage episode) and played the role of "Bobby" in the 2007 film Brooklyn Rules.
Jerry Ferrara began studying theater in college, where he was inspired by a teacher to pursue a career in acting. An agent he met at a talent showcase encouraged him to move to Los Angeles, where he quickly landed his first role on King Of Queens. Other television parts soon followed. Jerry was then cast in the independent feature Cross Bronx which premiered at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival. Jerry attended New Utrecht High School.
