Jeremy Lee Renner (born January 7, 1971) is an American actor.
Renner was born in Modesto, California, the eldest of four children; he has two sisters and one brother. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Renner appeared in commercials for Pizza Hut, Duracell batteries and Bud Light.
He is perhaps best known for his role as Colin Farrell's ex-partner turned bad guy in S.W.A.T.. Other high profile roles were Mark 'Dags' D'Agastino in National Lampoon's Senior Trip and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer. He's also been featured in episodes of the hit TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, House and Angel.
Renner recently played a heroic soldier in 28 Weeks Later. He will next portray Dan, an expectant father, in the FOX television series The Oaks.
Turned down a role in Big Bounce, The (2004) to play Brian Gamble in S.W.A.T. (2003).
He knew David Boreanaz even before he guest-starred on "Angel" (1999). He and David used to have the same acting class in college.
Renner had three films screening at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival: North Country (2005), Little Trip to Heaven, A (2005), and Twelve and Holding (2005).
He received the Best Actor Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival for his title role in Neo Ned (2005).
He received the Hollywood Life's "Break Through Performance of the Year" for his role as Brian Gamble in the movie S.W.A.T. (2003).
Was approached to play the role of Derek in "Hero Wanted" but couldn't due to prior filming commitments.
