"Invincible" is the name of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest entry from Sweden, sung by Carola Häggkvist. Being one of the favourites to win, it ended up finishing 5th out of 24.
Carola performed the song in the Swedish national final, in the Swedish language, under the name Evighet (Eternity). It scored 2nd place by the judges, but was a runaway winner by public votes, therefore booking Carola a place in Athens.
At the singles chart, the Swedish language version peaked at #1 in Sweden and #8 in Norway, and the English language version peaked at #29 in Sweden.
The Swedish language version was tested for Svensktoppen, and entered the list on April 30 2006, and reaching a 5th place, where it also came the two following weeks. Afterwards, it fell down, totally being at Svensktoppen for five weeks.
A cover version by Tomas Andersson Wij in 2007 was at the Swedish Tracks list.
"Invincible" is a song by British rock band Muse and is the sixth track on their fourth album Black Holes and Revelations. The song was also released as the fourth single from that album in the United Kingdom on April 9, 2007 (see 2007 in British music). The single debuted at #21 on April 15, becoming the first single from Black Holes and Revelations not to debut in the Top 20 the first week physical formats were available. The song has been compared by fans to Keane's "Everybody’s Changing" due to its similar chord progression on the verse and an identic on the chorus; however according to Bellamy it was based on David Bowie’s "Heroes". It also bares a striking resemblance to "Can't Help Falling In Love" by UB40.
Song lyrics talk about an alternate concept of love, similar to Coldplay’s "Fix You" about the support someone can give to his loved one.
"Invincible" is the fourth single by the Los Angeles based rock band OK Go from their Do What You Want EP and their 2005 album Oh No. It was released as a single in 2006 for US radio stations only.
