Rubberface is a 1983 television movie made for CBC television starring Jim Carrey. Originally titled Introducing...Janet, the titled was changed to Rubberface for the video release following Jim Carrey's big success.
Adah Glassbourg plays Janet in this 40 minute long made for TV movie. Janet is an over-weight girl who has a knack for making the other children in school laugh...by making fun of her own weight. In seeing the other kids reaction, she feels that she might have what it takes to be a comedian. She visits the local comedy club where she finds Tony Moroni (Jim Carrey) who is a struggling comedian whose jokes are less than funny.
