Internal Affairs is a 1990 American crime thriller movie set in Los Angeles about the police department's Internal Affairs Division.
Richard Gere plays Dennis Peck, a suave womanizer, clever manipulator and crooked cop who uses his fellow officers as pawns for his own nefarious purposes while showing a tender side as a devoted father.
Andy García plays Raymond Avilla, the internal affairs agent obsessed in catching Peck when he suspects that Peck is not the poster boy police officer that the precinct has made him out to be.
William Baldwin is Van Stretch, Peck's crooked partner. He was the reason internal affairs was first onto his and Peck's case.
Tagline: Trust him... he's a cop.
Keen young Raymold Avila joins the Internal Affairs Department of the Los Angeles police. He and partner Amy Wallace are soon looking closely at the activities of cop Dennis Peck whose financial holdings start to suggest something shady. Indeed Peck is involved in any number of dubious or downright criminal activities. He is also devious, a womaniser, and a clever manipulator, and he starts to turn his attention on Avila.
