In the Mix is a 2005 crime-comedy film starring R&B/pop singer Usher. It was released in the United States on November 23 2005, the film being targeted at the traditionally large Thanksgiving weekend audience.

Usher Raymond enlisted the help of his longtime personal bodyguard, Elijah Shaw, in an effort to be more accurate in his role as Dolly's protector. Elijah who spent most of his time keeping screaming fans away from the location shoots, was dragged on set for multiple sessions of, "what would you do if..." His name appears in the credits as "Personal Security"
