I Wanna Rock is a song from the album Stay Hungry (1984) by the heavy metal group Twisted Sister. It was later covered by punk rock outfit Nancy Vandal. A different song under the same name was played by Dr. John, a blues musician, although the two songs have few similarities. The song was voted in at #20 on VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs . It peaked at #68 on the Billboard Chart in November of 1984, becoming the band's only other charting single.
