"I Can" is the second single from the Nas album, God's Son.
Nas claims that before his mother died she had requested he write an inspirational song for children, and "I Can" is the result. The song heavily samples Beethoven's Für Elise and The Honeydrippers' "Impeach The President". The music video directed by Benny Boom, was shot in Los Angeles, and contains footage of Nas rapping while children stand around him. The video starts out with the music from the introduction of "Get Down," but it soon transitions into "I Can." As the video starts, a girl plays a piano in a vacant lot, and later one can see children jumping on a mattress in the same lot. The video also contains footage of breakdancing and famous Egyptian structures. "I Can" charted at #12 in Billboard Hot 100 and #7 in U.S. R&B, other charts included Hot Rap and the charting was at #6. This is known as Nas's trademark song and is his highest charting single to date.
I Can is a song by the German power metal band Helloween taken from the album Better Than Raw. The Japanese version has a different cover and features the album version of "I Can" (4:40) instead of the edited version.
I Can is a download only comeback single by East 17 singer Brian Harvey. Brian performed the song on British TV show Making Your Mind Up hoping to represent the UK in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. Although Brian didn't win this opportunity the single was still released online as a download only single.
