Eight celebrities are thrown into the Austrailian Outback to compete head-to-head to become the King/Queen Of The Jungle. Viewers get to vote on who will take part in Bush Tucker trials - a food competition to see if they eat more than the basic rations in a day - and more ultimately who their favourite star is for who they want to win the title. The series was bought by ABC from the United Kingdom, where the very succesfull show also titled "I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here!" became the event of Summer 2002.
