"Hunter" is a song by Björk, released in 1998 as the third single from Homogenic. The single peaked at #44 in the UK.
The lyrics are about the creative process of songwriting .
In the video (directed by Paul White), a bald Björk is shot on camera from the shoulder upwards. Over the course of the song, she shakes and convulses, and, with the assistance of CGI, slowly and unwillingly transforms into a polar bear (as shown on the right). By the time the video ends, she has shaken off her carnivorous tendencies and become human again before fading back into the white background.
The song also appeared on the soundtrack to The X-Files movie.
"Hunter" is a track found on No Angel, the debut album released by British singer Dido.
It was released as the third single from the album. "Hunter" went to the top twenty on the World Adult Charts and the UK singles charts while achieving top ten success in both, Portugal and Greece.
"Hunter" is a tale of restlessness in a failing relationship and the singer's wish to be a "hunter", or unencumbered person, once again.
"The Hunter" is a hit song by Irish group Clannad from 1989. It appears on their compilation album Past Present. It is a re-working of the song "Herne" from their 1984 album Legand.
This Iced Earth song first appears on the album The Dark Saga. The focus of the songs on the album are based on the Spawn (comics) comic book series by Todd McFarlane. This particular song focuses on the character Zera, who is sent from God and combats with Spawn.
