Hercules is a 1997 animated feature produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures on June 14, 1997. The thirty-fifth animated feature in the Disney animated features canon, the film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, and stars the voices of Tate Donovan, Rip Torn, Susan Egan, Danny DeVito, James Woods, Bobcat Goldthwait, Matt Frewer, Samantha Eggar, Josh Keaton, Lillias White, Paul Shaffer, Hal Holbrook, and Charlton Heston. The movie was based on the adventures of Heracles (known in the movie by his Roman name, Hercules), the son of Zeus, in Greek mythology. The storyline also draws inspiration from "The Karate Kid" and "Rocky".

Though Hercules doesn’t match its predecessors, it still took over $99 million in domestic revenues and over $270,000,000 worldwide. The movie was later followed by Hercules: The Animated Series, focusing on Hercules during his time at the Prometheus academy and Hercules: Zero to Hero, a direct-to-video movie.

Hercules: The Animated Series is an animated series based on the Disney's 1997 feature film and the Greek myth, the series follows teenage Hercules training as a hero as well as trying to adjust to life. With his free-spirited friend Icarus, his future-seeing friend Cassandra and his teacher Philoctetes ("Phil"), he battles his evil uncle Hades. Like all teenagers though, Hercules has to worry about peer pressure when the snobbish prince Adonis ridicules him.

Hercules, written and directed by Luigi Cozzi, is a 1983 Italian adventure film featuring the exploits of the mythological hero Hercules.

The film is an odd retelling of the story of Hercules (Lou Ferrigno) battling the wizard Minos (William Berger), who uses "science" in an attempt to take over the world. Hercules must stop him and rescue his princess love in the process. Part of the adventure finds Hercules battling giant robots brought to life by stop motion animation. The musical score was provided by Pino Donaggio.

Despite not being a critical or box office hit, the film has become something of a cult favorite. A sequel, The Adventures of Hercules, also starring Ferrigno and written and directed by Cozzi, was released in 1985.

Hercules is a film chronicling the life of the legendary Greek hero, Hercules. It is most often aired on television as a two-part miniseries: the first part documents his early life in Tiryns and his desire and marriage to the lady Megara; the second part follows the more widely-recognised part of his life, in seeking redemption for the madness-induced murder of his family.

All of the main cast members from the movie reprised their roles for the series, except for Danny DeVito as Philoctetes, who was replaced by Robert Costanzo.

Homer is voiced by Dan Castellaneta, who is, of course, the voice of Homer Simpson in "Simpsons, The" (1989)

Jennifer Aniston guest-starred as the voice of Galatea, Hercules' dream date. At the time, she was dating Tate Donovan (the voice of Hercules.)

Hercules, son of the Greek God, Zeus, is turned into a half-god, half-mortal by evil Hades, God of the Underworld, who plans to overthrow Zeus. Hercules is raised on Earth and retains his god-like strength, but when he discovers his immortal heritage Zeus tells him that to return to Mount Olympus he must become a True Hero. Hercules becomes a famous hero with the help of his friend Pegasus and his personal trainer, Phil the satyr. Hercules battles monsters, Hades and the Titans, but it is his self-sacrifice to rescue his love Meg which makes him a True Hero. Written by Kristi Connolly

After Zeus fights and sends the Titans to the underworld, he becomes the ruler of Mount Olympus, home of all greek gods. Hades is sent to rule the underworld, but he makes plans to throw Zeus out of Mount Olympus with the Titans' help. The three Fates warn him that his plans would be endangered if Hercules, Zeus newborn child, is still around by the time he tries to take over Mount Olympus. Hades sends Pain and Panic to turn Hercules into a mortal and kill him, but they fail in their attempt and leave him on earth with his divine strength to be raised as a human. Hercules grows up but later learns he is the son of gods, and in order to return to Mt. Olympus he must turn into a "true hero". He is trained by Phil the satyr and becomes the most famous hero in ancient Greece after battling monsters of all kinds. He even saves Mt. Olympus from Hade's take-over, but he only becomes a god again after he offers to exchange his life in order to save Meg, his love, from Hades' underworld and shows that a true hero must have a strong heart and not only physical strength.
