Heat Vision and Jack was a proposed 1999 comedy/sci-fi television show directed by Ben Stiller and starring Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Ron Silver. Christine Taylor and Vincent Schiavelli guest starred in the pilot episode, the only episode filmed. While the Fox Network didn't pick up the show, the pilot gained a cult status and an online following. The show was written and executive produced by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, of Scud: The Disposable Assassin, Channel 101, and "Dead Alewives" fame. According to a March 27th, 2007 interview with Rob Schrab, a script for the Heat Vision and Jack feature film is in the works.
As the result of a NASA miscalculation, Astronaut Jack Austin flew to close to the sun, the rays expanding his mind and making him the smartest man on the planet. Now he and his talking motorcycle (who contains the mind of his former roommate) are on the run from NASA and their assain, actor Ron Silver who want to take his brain. They travel from place to place solving paranormal mysteries with the help of Jack's newfound ability to become a super genius when his brain absorbs sunlight. Written by Captain_Freed
The story of a man and his talking motorcycle. Jack Austin, an ex-astronaut who got too close to the sun and, by the power of the yellow sun, becomes the smartest human being alive. Heat Vision is the unfortunate combination of Jack Austin's former roommate and his motorcycle. Ron Silver, also an ex-astronaut and part-time actor, has the job of taking out Jack Austin. An alien named Paragon takes over the body of a chef and attempts to kill "all monkey tramps." They all get mixed together by a kindly sheriff, and hilarity ensues. Written by Morpheus0364
