Haluk Bilginer (born 5 June 1954 in İzmir, Turkey) is a Turkish actor.
In addition to his acting career in Turkey, he has also worked in the United Kingdom and remains best known for his role as Mehmet Osman in the television soap opera EastEnders during the 1980s.
He has also starred in Hollywood movies as a minor actor. He played a villainous guerilla leader in the 1987 motion picture "comedy" Ishtar, one of the most notorious flops in movie history. He played a Turkish Mafioso in the (2001) motion picture dark comedy Buffalo Soldiers.
After graduating from Ankara State Conservatory, he went to England (1977) and acted in British theater (My Fair Lady, Macbeth, Pal Joey, Belami, Phantom of the Opera) and TV series (Eastenders, Glory Boys, Murder of a Moderate Man, Bergerac, Memories of Midnight, The Bill) between year 1980-1993. Afterwards he established his own theater in Ankara. Meanwhile he won 2 awards in Antalya. Lately he has been acting in 'Other death of Jeanne d Arc'.
