Hadley Kay (born 1973) is a Canadian-born voice actor best known for playing parts in the first two Care Bears movies: the magician Nicholas in the first one and as the villain Dark Heart in the second.
Kay also appeared in Superman II, the Star Wars-inspired animated series Ewoks, Inspector Gadget, and some of the earliest Raccoons specials (he would in turn voice an older character in one episode of the third series). He even guest-voiced Scooby-Doo for a 1997 episode of Cartoon Network's Johnny Bravo. His other television credits include guest appearances in The Littlest Hobo (the 2-part episode, "The Five Labours of Hercules" (1983)), Bizarre (TV series), and Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.
At age six, he was already a young veteran actor at the stage. A few years later, he made his film debut opposite Bill Murray in the 1979 comedy, Meatballs.
Currently, he is now the voice of the Bee in Honey Nut Cheerios' commercials (since 1994).
Discovered by a Director at the age of 5, Hadley Kay was already a young veteran actor at the ripe age of six. He captured the imagination of Ivan Reitman when he auditioned for Meatballs starring Bill Murray. Was rescued from sure disaster by Christopher Reeve after plummeting over Niagara Falls in Superman II. He has delighted children and adults alike with his starring turns as the voice for the Honey Nut Cheerios Bee, Darkheart in the Care Bears Movies, and everyones favorite mutt, Scooby, in Scooby Doo.
