They have released six full length albums to date. As of 2008, they are the first and only Finnish band to go Gold in the United States.

There are, at this point, multiple bands using some variation of the name HIM — all of which currently redirect here. 1) HIM is a Finnish love metal band, formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo , guitarist Mikko “Linde” Lindström and bassist Mikko “Migé” Paananen. Today the band consists of the previously named as well as drummer Mika “Gas” Karppinen and keyboard-player Janne “Burton” Puurtinen. The name HIM was originally an abbreviation for “His Infernal Majesty”, but wa
