On 21 August 1993, the show aired an hour long special entitled "GUTS All Stars" to kick off the second season. In this special, the three perfect score champions from the previous season faced off against each other. A home video of this special was released in 1994 with added commentary by NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor (II).

In the first season, Moira Quirk had to stand on a box for every pool event.

The third season made several substantial changes to the show. Female backing vocals were added to the theme songs, new events were added, a lineup board showing the day's events was shown after the first game, a halftime show was added after the second event, and there were several Aggro Crag changes as well. For the fourth season (Global Guts), all of these changes were done away with (other than the theme song backing vocals.)

Following the show, the winner would have to give back the "glowing piece of the radical rock" that they were presented with.
