The Offspring: Greatest Hits is the only compilation album by The Offspring. It was released on June 20, 2005 internationally and a day later in North America. It includes hit singles from five of the band's studio albums from Smash to Splinter, except for the first track "Can't Repeat", which was previously unreleased. It also features a hidden track, "Next to You", which is a cover of a song by The Police. The song appears at the end of the final track. "Can't Repeat" was the Offspring's first song to feature Atom Willard on drums, but interestingly, the album liner notes states that the drummer on "Can't Repeat" was Josh Freese, the studio drummer used for the album Splinter. This is likely an oversight, because "Can't Repeat" was recorded in early 2005, when Atom was well-established as the band's official post-Welty drummer. It has since been certified Gold by the RIAA.
