"Girls & Boys" is a song by British Britpop band Blur and is the lead track on their third album, Parklife. It was released 7 March 1994 as the first single from that album, charting at #5 in the UK Singles Charts (see 1994 in British music). The single was the band's first Top 5 hit.

Lead vocalist Damon Albarn's withering putdowns of trendy pansexuality and aimless hedonism satirise the party culture in the UK, where groups of youths go on holiday to places like Faliraki and Kavos with the sole intention of getting drunk in the local night-clubs. Ironically, it was a huge hit among them, as the electro-pop noise imitated by Graham Coxon gave it regular play among the clubs. Damon considered the song "as rude as Frankie's Relax" and, in writing it, may have been influenced by 60s counterculture film-maker Peter Whitehead's Pink Floyd documentary, which features the famous "Boys who do girls who…" lyric as a written poem.

The video, directed by Kevin Godley featured Blur performing this song to a backdrop of people on 18-30 package holidays (which the band interspersed into the video). Kevin branded the video as "Page 3 rubbish" while Blur found it "perfect".

The front cover of the single was taken from a pack of Durex condoms.

The single release also includes a remix of the track by Pet Shop Boys, who later covered the track live on tour in 1994.

In 2007, electronic band Blaqk Audio released a cover of the song as a Hot Topic exclusive bonus track for their debut album CexCells. Around that time, perhaps beginning in mid 2006, the song saw a resurgence in popularity in the American Indie Music Scene, being played a lot at dance clubs. The song was also covered by another group Fear Cult with a more upbeat electronic sound.

Upon the song's release it was a come back for the band, who had been slipping commercially for several years, the song even surpassed the band's past commercial peak by 3 spots.

"Girls & Boys" is a 1986 song by Prince and The Revolution, from the album Parade, the soundtrack to the film Under the Cherry Moon. The song was released as a single in the U.K. and as the B-Side to Anotherloverholenyohead in the U.S..

Following the smash success of its predecessor "Kiss", "Girls & Boys" peaked at number 11 in the UK charts, but oddly, was not released as a single in America. Prince's former drummer, Bobby Z. later commented that the song may have helped the entire album and movie achieve bigger success- "second singles sometimes weren't right... "Kiss" was a complete smash and set the album up huge. In my opinion it should then have been "Girls & Boys", not "Mountains"" (Z's comments were later proven correct when later singles flopped). The music video for the single consisted of clips from the film and separately shot footage of The Revolution, including Prince's then-fiancee Susannah Melvoin.

"Girls & Boys" is a funk offering featuring both live drumming as well as Prince's trademark Linn drum machine. The keyboard hook is a peculiar duck-like sound. This is the first official Prince single to include saxophone contributions of Eric Leeds, which compliment the song perfectly. The lyrics speak of characters similar to Christopher and Mary from Under the Cherry Moon although their actions are not seen in the film. The song includes a seduction spoken by Marie France in French, as well as an early attempt by Prince to deliver a short rap. Background vocals are Sheila E. Wendy and Lisa and Susannah Melvoin.

The B-side was the LP version of "Under the Cherry Moon". The 12" single also included the 1984 track "Erotic City", which originally backed "Let's Go Crazy". In addition, a special double 7" single was released containing "Girls & Boys", "She's Always in My Hair" (which originally backed "Paisley Park", "Under the Cherry Moon" and "17 Days" which originally backed "When Doves Cry".

In March 2006 British actress Kristin Scott Thomas, one of the stars of Under the Cherry Moon, nominated "Girls and Boys" as one of her eight favourite Desert Island Discs.

"Girls and Boys" was covered by jazz/funk bassist Marcus Miller on his 2005 album Silver Rain, featuring singer Macy Gray.

"Girls & Boys" is the third single taken from Good Charlotte's second studio album The Young and the Hopeless. The theme of the song is that girls do not like boys and only use them to acquire money and material goods. The music video for the song predominantly shows older people dressed and acting like young people. The various members of the band are shown interacting with the older characters (for example playing video games and giving massages). At the end of the video Benji Madden wakes up to find an old woman wearing one of his shirts and eating breakfast.

"Boys and Girls" is a song by the British Synthpop group The Human League. It was released as a single in the UK in February 1981 and peaked at number 48 in the UK Singles Charts. It was written by lead singer Philip Oakey and the band's visual director / keyboard player Philip Adrian Wright.

It was the first single released by the new Human League line up of Oakey, Wright together with new teenage dancers Susanne Sulley (now called Susan Ann Sulley) and Joanne Catherall. The new line up formed after the acrimonious departure of Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh from the band four months earlier.

By late 1980 Oakey was deeply in debt to Virgin Records so both he and the label were keen that he release a single to start clearing that debt as early in 1981 as possible.

"Boys and Girls" was a song that had been used on the November 1980 European tour. On return from the tour it was recorded quickly and rushed out by Virgin Records in late February 1981. At the time it was remarked on that Sulley and Catherall were missing from the song, after the mythology that had been started in the media about their recent recruitment to the band from the Crazy Daisy Nightclub four months earlier. This was due to the fact that they had both returned to school full time and "Boys and Girls" was originally written without any female vocals.

With the benefit of hindsight critics now state that 'Boys and Girls' belongs to the earlier pre split Mk 1 Human League experimental electronic sound of Travelogue. It would be the last time that style was produced by the band as they evolved towards the Dare album sound within months.
