General Motors Corporation, also known as GM, is a multinational corporation headquartered in the United States and has been the world's most dominant automaker since 1931. Recent times, however, have not been as favorable for the automotive giant with GM posting a record $38.7 billion loss in 2007. GM and Toyota Motor Corporation are still in battle for largest automaker.
