Gambit is a 1966 film starring Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine as two criminals involved in an elaborate plot to steal a priceless antiquity from millionaire Mr Shahbandar, played by Herbert Lom. The film was directed by Ronald Neame from a screenplay by Jack Davies and Alvin Sargeant.
The film is currently being remade using a screenplay by Joel and Ethan Coen and has an anticipated release date of 2009. It will star Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley as Harry Dean and Shahbandar respectively.
