Gabriel Aubry (born January 4, 1976 in Montreal, Canada), is a French Canadian model. Aubry first came into the industry in the late 90's, at a time when fashion was first becoming obsessed with androgyny and/or overt boyishness in menswear. Aubry was considered the prototype of this. He was among the first wave of such boys to come into the industry. However, most of those boys phased out after a season or two, or a very few years at most. Aubry quickly became a popular model, and ironically as his looks matured he continued to grow more successful. He is now characterized by longer hair and designer stubble.
He has modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Calvin Klein and Next; and achieved supermodel status after modeling for Hugo Boss. He has a pay rate of $30,000 a day.
Aubry and his girlfriend, actress Halle Berry, await their first child. As of February, 2008, Berry is eight months pregnant.
