Frederick Coffin (1943-2003, Los Angeles) was an American film actor. He is the son of actress Winifred Deforest Coffin.
Coffin appeared in numerous movies and television series. He made guest appearances on the TV Series: Murder, She Wrote, L.A. Law, The X-Files and Hunter. One of his most memorable roles was Officer Koharski in the feature film Wayne's World. Other film credits include Andersonville (1996, Collins) Identity (2003, Detective Varole), View from the Top, 2003, Mr. Stewart), The Base (1999, General Albert Becker), Memorial Day (1998, Senator Jerald Lancaster), Texas (1994, Zave), There Goes My Baby (1994, Mr. Maran), V.I. Warshawski (199, Horton Grafalk), If Looks Could Kill (1991, Lt. Col. Larabee), Hard to Kill (1990, Kevin O'Malley), Out Cold (1989, Sgt. Haroldson), A Time of Destiny (1988, Ed), Shoot to Kill, (1988, Ralph), The Bedroom Window (1987, Jessup), A Fine Mess (1986, Traffic Cop), Jo Jo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling (1986, Dr. Weissman), Nothing Lasts Forever (1984, Lunar Shopping Observer), Without a Trace (1983, Officer Coffin), Alone in the Dark (1982, Jim Gable), Dead Ringer (1981), King of the Gypsies (1978, Basketball Coach), and Dragonfly (1976, Walter Craigle). He attended Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. In 1997 he returned to his alma mater as that year's Knight Fellow, one of Western Reserve Academy's most distinguished honors. Coffin died of lung cancer on July 31, 2003 in Los Angeles.
