Frank Albertson (February 2, 1909 - February 29, 1964) was an American character actor.
Albertson made well over one hundred appearances (1923-1964) in movies and television. He is probably best remembered for his role as Sam Wainwright, the businessman fond of saying "Hee-Haw" in the movie It's a Wonderful Life (1946). He played the wealthy rancher Tom Cassidy at the start of Psycho (1960), who provides the cash that Janet Leigh's character later steals. Albertson has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6754 Hollywood Boulevard.
Frank Albertson entered the film industry in 1922 as a prop boy, but soon graduated into acting. He was a prolific and reliable character actor who occasionally played the lead in a "B" picture, but was used mainly as a supporting actor in scores of films, often cast as a wisecracking cab driver, a cop or a reporter.
