For Hope is a 1996 ABC TV movie starring Dana Delany and directed by Bob Saget. Based on Saget's sister Gay, the movie showed the experience of a young woman fatally afflicted with the disease scleroderma. Other cast members included Tracy Nelson and Chris Demetral.

The original airing achieved the top _Nielsen Ratings for the time slot. The movie has periodically been re-reun on various TV channels, and is available on DVD and VHS for a $20 donation at the blank">Scleroderma Research Foundation(415-834-9444).
An extra feature of the movie was that it included a cameo appearance by Scleroderma Research Foundation founder _Sharon Monsky.
The film is based on the actual experiences of the director Saget, Bob, whose sister Gay died 2 years after the diagnosis of scleroderma.
In real life, Bob Saget has three daughters named: Aubrey, Lara and Jenny; in this film their names are: Audrey, Laura, Penny.
