Final Justice is a 1984 film starring Joe Don Baker and directed by Greydon Clark. It follows the exploits of a Texas sheriff who overturns a Maltese city to find the bad guy who killed his partner. The film was lampooned in 1999 on Mystery Science Theater 3000. It is the second Joe Don Baker film to be riffed on MST3K, following Mitchell, to which a few references are made in this episode.

Joe Don Baker plays Texas "lawman" Thomas Jefferson Geronimo III, a beefy sheriff and avid milk drinker. His partner, the former sheriff, is killed by an Italian mobster. He finds the criminal, a man named Joseph Palermo, and escorts him back to Europe, only to lose him in the capital city of Valletta in Malta. He then thumbs his nose at local law enforcement and uses all the tactics of Texas justice to pursue Palermo. A cat-and-mouse game follows, rife with car chases, gunfights, fistfights and boat chases.

The film contained a notoriously cyclical plot. It would begin at a hole-in-the-wall bar called The Smuggler's Tavern, populated by a bartender with an attitude, a crowd of Mediterranean bad guys, and triangle-clad strip dancers. The jukebox continuously played You Better Run, the film's theme song. The sheriff would get a tipoff, then would search the city. Property damage and violence would result, followed by Sheriff Geronimo being thrown into jail. Police Superintendent Mifsud would chew him out, let him go, and the sheriff would be back at the bar, and so forth. The producers were able to recycle a considerable amount of footage in this revolving sequence.

The film also contains a very prominent editing mistake; in the scene near the beginning of the film where Geronimo's boss, the sheriff (played by director Greydon Clark) dies, there is a shot of the partner getting killed and collapsing to the ground. Moments later, the exact shot is repeated. This error only appears in a TV print, however; the original Vestron release has better editing. One of the host segments in the MST3K treatment of the episode makes reference to the editing mistake by having host Mike Nelson trip over and over and over again. Also, Mike tries to escape the SOL after having seen Final Justice, almost similar to how Joel escaped after seeing Mitchell, except he tries unsuccessfully. Mike would further reference the movie in one of the host segments in a later season, using Geronimo's catch phrase from the film: "You think you can take me? Well go ahead on."

Somewhat ironically, in light of MST3K's jokes on the subject, the movie made Baker a well-known figure in Malta and he became a minor hero during the filming of the movie.

Gwen (Annette O'Toole) grieves her murdered brother and hopes for justice in court, only to sit helplessly as her brother is defamed by a sleazy attorney (Michael McKean) and the murderer acquitted. Out of desperation she kidnaps the killer to deliver final justice. Written by A. C. Jaggard

This is an emotion that Gwen, a woman whose brother is brutally murdered, is not only familiar with but acts on. After a sleazy attorney uses corrupt tactics to convince a jury to free her brother's killer, Gwen kidnaps him. What follows is an enlightening experience for everyone - especially Gwen, who learns that Merle, the attorney, is only interested in winning cases and has little faith in the intelligence of a jury. Geronimo is the Sheriff of a little Texas town. One night two brothers from Palermo kills the sheriffs coworker and pal so he chases them. The chase takes him across the border down to Mexico where he kills one of the brothers and takes the other one back to USA to stand trial. The surviving brother vows revenge on the sheriff. But the criminal is handed over to the Italian police and the sheriff is sent over to Europe with the prisoner. Written by Mikael Ahkoila
