"The Distance" is a song by the American alternative rock band Cake. Released in 1997, "The Distance" was the first single from their second album, Fashion Nugget, their "best-known" and "ubiquitous" single. It was written by the band's guitarist at the time, Greg Brown.
"Final Distance" is Utada Hikaru's 9th single (10th overall) and the 1st single on her Deep River album. "Final Distance" is the first song that Utada Hikaru's ex-husband Kazuaki Kiriya filmed the music video to. This is also the first time that Utada Hikaru has worked with m-flo.
