Faith Renée Evans (born June 10, 1973) is a Grammy award winning American R&B and soul singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Often referred to as the 'First Lady of Hip-Hop and R&B', she is also the widow of the Notorious B.I.G. For over a decade, she has worked with numerous successful artists such as Tupac Shakur, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Kelly Price, Whitney Houston, Usher, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, A Tribe Called Quest, DMX, Nas, 112, Twista, The Game, and Carl Thomas.
Faith Evans is a former Hawaii state legislator and the first woman to serve as a United States Marshal. Evans, of Hawaiian and Puerto Rican descent, was appointed U.S. Marshal for the District of Hawaii by President Ronald Reagan on August 12 1982.
