Elegantly Wasted was the first single from the album Elegantly Wasted by INXS.

Elegantly Wasted is a deft mix of rock infused with dance beats. The band's new sound bridged the gap between the public's taste for postgrunge rock anthems, and the slinky mechanical seduction of electronica.

During the chorus of "Elegantly Wasted" the band can be heard singing "I'm better than Oasis."

Unfortunately, this album was the last by Michael Hutchence, who died that same year, on November 22, 1997.
