The Eelam People's Revolutionary Liberation Front is a political party in Sri Lanka. It was originally formed as a militant, Tamil separatist group, and operated from 1983 to about 1991. Its militant wing and military operations were subsequently subsumed by the rival LTTE, and none of its cadre are currently believed to be actively involved in military activities.
But a group composed of former EPRLF cadres known as Razeek Group works along with the Sri Lankan Army as a Para-military group in activities against the LTTE in Batticaloa region. They have also being accused of indulging in massacres, kidnappings and torture
At the last legislative elections, 2 April 2004, the EPRLF Suresh wing of the party was part of the Tamil National Alliance (Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi) that won 6.9% of the popular vote and 22 out of 225 seats.
