Eddie Powell (9 March 1927-11 August 2000) was a British stuntman.
He was best-known for his work for Hammer Studios, during which time he was the regular stunt double for Christopher Lee. His most memorable moments were as Dracula in the icy climax of Dracula, Prince of Darkness (1965) and as the Mummy (a role all his own) in The Mummy's Shroud (1967).
Other film appearances over the years included several Bond films, Aliens (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), Batman (1989) and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). He also played the eponymous Alien - Bolaji Badejo had modelled for the costume's construction, but Powell was the man who wore it on screen. He was disappointed when the finished film credited Badejo for the role, and himself for stunt work only, as he recounted wryly in an interview for the 1995 documentary Dalekmania.
He was married to Hammer wardrobe mistress Rosemary Burrows.
Frequently worked for Hammer Films, usually as Christopher Lee's stunt double.
