Droopy, Master Detective is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera and originally aired on FOX for one season (1993-1994).
The show is a spin-off from Tom and Jerry Kids. Droopy, Master Detective is a spoof of detective films and cop shows, featuring Droopy and his son, Dripple, as detectives on the mean streets of a big city.
Newly-made seven-minute episodes were mixed in with seven-minute reruns from Droopy and Dripple's Tom and Jerry Kids appearances. The rest of the half-hour program was taken up by Screwball Squirrel, another Tex Avery creation from the 1940's. "Screwy" made his home in a public park, making life miserable for hot-headed park attendant Dweeble and his dog Grappley.
Each episode of this show featured two "Droopy: Master Detective" shorts and one "Screwball Squirrel" short (based on Tex Avery's Screwball (or Screwy) Squirrel, which first appeared in Screwball Squirrel (1944)).
