Don Mitchell is an academic Geographer at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. He is currently serving as the chairperson of the geography department at Maxwell. Considered one of the most influential young Geographers, he is perhaps best known for his work on cultural theory (see Mitchell 1995), and the blank">People's Geography Project.
In 1998, he became a _MacArthur Fellow.
Don Michael Mitchell (born March 17, 1943 in Houston, Texas) is an American actor, best known for appearing with Raymond Burr in the NBC TV series Ironside. He played the role of Mark Sanger, and reprised the part in the made-for-TV "reunion" film in 1993 - his last TV appearance to date.
Other television roles were on McMillan and Wife and, playing Ed Lawrence, the CBS daytime serial Capitol.
Born March 17, 1943 in Houston, Texas, USA, Don left home to go to college at UCLA-Fine Arts to become an actor. Producer Collier Young spotted him and cast him in the TV series,"Ironside" (1967) as Mark Sanger. He enjoys music and also likes to go deep sea fishing and horse back riding. Don did not do much after Ironside apart from a few guest appearances and a few movies.
