Diddy is the stage name of London DJ Richard Dearlove, responsible for the dance hit Feverpitch/Positiva release Give Me Love and also for a number of Blondie single remixes for the Chrysalis Records label. His remix of Blondie's "Atomic" reached #1 on the American Billboard dance charts.

In 2006, Dearlove successfully filed suit against hip hop star Sean Combs, who had attempted to change his own stage name from "P. Diddy" to simply "Diddy".
