Diana Scarwid (born August 27, 1955) is an Academy Award nominated American actress. Scarwid has done work in film, television and theater.
Listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1980" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol 32.
For her roles in Inside Moves (1980) and Mommie Dearest (1981), she became the first actress ever to go from being an Oscar nominee to a Razzie "winner" in just one year.
In mini-movies, she won an Emmy nomination playing "First Lady" Bess Truman in Truman (1995) (TV) and later played Rose Kennedy (I) in J.F.K.: Reckless Youth (1993) (TV).
Appeared in the National Shakespeare Conservatory production of "Spoon River Anthology" in New York.
Graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Is only 14 years younger than Faye Dunaway, who played her mother in Mommie Dearest (1981).
