In religion, folklore, and mythology a demon (or daemon, dæmon, daimon from Greek: δαίμων [ðaïmon]) is a supernatural being that has generally been described as a malevolent spirit, and in Christian terms it is generally understood as a Fallen angel, formerly of God. A demon is frequently depicted as a force that may be conjured and insecurely controlled. The "good" demon in recent use is largely a literary device (e.g., Maxwell's demon), though references to good demons can be found in Hesiod and Shakespeare. In common language, to "demonize" a person means to characterize or portray them as evil, or as the source of evil.
Demons was the fourth single taken from Irish singer Brian McFadden's debut solo album Irish Son. The song failed to match the success of his previous solo releases in its inability to reach the UK Top Ten.
The song managed to reach No.28.
"Demons" is a single by the Big Beat artist Fatboy Slim, featuring Grammy Award-winning singer Macy Gray. It was released in Fatboy Slim's album Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars. This song has been recently been put in Macy Gray's compilation album The Very Best of Macy Gray.
Demons is Guster's second single released off the Goldfly album. It is also on the live CD and DVD Guster on Ice.
The song was also featured on the 1998 charity album Live in the X Lounge.
"Demons" is the eighth single by Super Furry Animals and the last to be taken from the album Radiator.
The packaging of the single features a quote in Welsh, 'Esmwyth! Esmwyth! Dim blewyn o'i le!', which roughly translates into English as 'Smooth! Smooth! Not a hair out of place!'. It is the last single by the band to contain such a quote, bringing to an end a practise that started with their debut single "Hometown Unicorn".
