Del Moore (b. May 14, 1916 in Pensacola, Florida - d. August 30, 1970 in Encino, California) was a comedian, television actor and a radio announcer.
Del Moore started his career as a radio announcer, and soon it launched his career. However, besides on radio, to audiences, he became best known for playing supporting roles in several Jerry Lewis features, including The Big Mouth and The Patsy. He made his feature-film debut in Lewis' Cinderfella in 1960, the university president, in 1963's The Nutty Professor, after having appeared on the early television series Life With Elizabeth (1953-1955) starring opposite Betty White. In 1952, he appeared in the first of several So You Want To… Warner Bros. comedy shorts with George O’Hanlon. He also appeared in the 1967 teen film Catalina Caper, which later appeared as an "experiment" in a 1990 episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
A good friend of Jack Webb, he appeared in many episodes of Dragnet and Adam 12.
For his work on television, he received a “Star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
