David Lodge CBE, (born January 28, 1935 at London, England) is a British author.
David Lodge is a voice actor who is not to be confused with the British actor of the same name. He is active in the anime and video game voice acting community, but is also very well-known for his voicework in the Power Rangers franchise. Two of his best-known voice roles there were Villamax in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy and Loki in Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue.
He is currently known for his voice role as Kenpachi Zaraki in the popular anime show, Bleach, as well as the supporting voice role of Jiraiya in Naruto.
David William Frederick Lodge (19 August 1921 in Rochester, Kent - 18 October 2003) was a British character actor.
Before turning to acting he worked as a circus clown. He also appeared in Gang Shows and variety before making his screen debut in Cockleshell Heroes and going on to feature in many British films usually portraying military types, and often comedic roles. He was a close friend of Peter Sellers and appeared as part of Spike Milligan's team on his Q programmes.
He appeared in Who Killed Cock Robin? (Randall and Hopkirk Deceased) in 1969.
First film part was in "Orders are Orders" (1954), but this was cut before release.
His father was a well-known orator and his mother a singer who won competitions as a child.
Educated at St. Nicholas School in Golden Square, London where he enjoyed singing comic songs in school concerts.
Roughhewn, mustachioed British character actor whose versatility was well admired in both military and comic roles.
Was a friend of Peter Sellers and appeared frequently in his films.
