David Berman is an American poet, cartoonist, and singer-songwriter best known for his work with indie-rock band the Silver Jews.
David "Davie the Jew" Berman (1903-1957) was an American mobster in Iowa, New York City, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was also one of the pioneers of gambling in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was partners with Bugsy Siegel at the Flamingo Hotel, and was one of the few mobsters of his era to die a natural death.
David Berman is an actor and full-time researcher on the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In the show he plays the role of Assistant Coroner David "Super Dave" Phillips.
Behind the scenes he also acts as head researcher on the show maintaining a long list of contacts in order to verify facts, research procedures and technologies. His brother Josh Berman is a co-producer of the program.
In 2006 he appeared in seven episodes of the cancelled TV series Vanished as Agent Edward Dockery.
In the Heroes episode "Homecoming", his name was featured on the List, and he played Brian Davis in the next episode, "Six Months Ago".
