David William "Hughesy" Hughes (born 26 November 1970) is an Australian stand-up comedian, radio and television presenter.
David William Hughes was born in 1970 in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. After graduating high school in 1988, he studied commerce at Deakin University in Warrnambool for two years before dropping out of the course. He then went on the dole for seven years before finding work as a stand up comic. He now works as co-host of a breakfast radio program, as well as a panelist on two television programs - "Before The Game" and "The Glass House". He continues to work as a stand up comic and performs at comedy festivals all over the world. Dave is a huge fan of the Carlton Football Club. He currently lives in St. Kilda (in Melbourne) with his longtime girlfriend, Holly. They have no children.
