Daryl Mitchell (born July 16, 1969) is an American actor.
Mitchell was born in the Bronx, New York to a secretary mother and a truck/bus driver father. blank">Daryl Mitchell Biography (1969-) After a career in _hip-hop in the 1980s with Groove B. Chill, Mitchell had considerable success as an actor, appearing in House Party and its sequel; Galaxy Quest; 10 Things I Hate about You; and the TV sitcoms Veronica's Closet, The Game and The John Larroquette Show. He was paralyzed from the waist down in a November 2001 motorcycle accident. After the accident, he appeared on the TV program Ed between 2002 and 2004 as a bowling alley manager who was paralyzed after an accident not unlike Mitchell's own.
He started the Daryl Mitchell Foundation to raise awareness of spinal cord injuries and serves as the Minority Outreach spokesperson for the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
He is married and has four children.
Daryl Keith Henry Mitchell (born in Badsey, Worcestershire on 25 November 1983) is an English cricketer, a lower middle-order right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler.
After having appeared fairly regularly in the Worcestershire second team since 2002, Mitchell finally made his first-class debut for the county in May 2005 against Loughborough UCCE at Kidderminster. He made only 5 and 12 as Worcestershire slumped to a shock eight-wicket defeat, but after a few weeks out of the side returned to the first team, and in mid-June he scored 63 against Leicestershire.
A slightly surprising part of Mitchell's first full season was in the Twenty20 Cup, when complete failure with the bat (an aggregate of just nine runs in four innings) was balanced by five wickets in 13 overs with the ball, including 2-26 against Somerset.
After a successful winter playing in Australia, Mitchell began the 2006 season as a first choice opener in the absence of overseas player Phil Jaques and scored his first half-century of the season against Somerset.

Second of twelve siblings. Four are his full siblings (from his mother and father) and eight are halves (from his father and other relationships).
Has four children.
