Dancer, Texas Pop 81 is a 1998 comedy film about four friends in the small, fictional U.S. town of Dancer, Texas, located in Brewster County, Texas. As the title implies, only 81 people live in this town. Following their high school graduation, the four young men wrestle with their decisions to leave town for Los Angeles. The movie stars Breckin Meyer, Peter Facinelli, Ethan Embry, and Eddie Mills. Film reviewer Joe M. O'Connell, writing for the San Antonio Express-News, called the film "The finest representation of small-town Texas since The Last Picture Show."
Four friends from the small Texas town of Dancer are graduating from high school and are planning to move to L.A. after graduation, taking the population of Dancer down to 77 from 81. All other 77 residents feel threatened by their decision and decide to spoil their plans by all means possible. Written by Anonymous
