DAG is a television sitcom that aired from November 2000 to May 2001. It was named after its star, David Alan Grier, who played United States Secret Service agent Jerome Daggett. Daggett's name, in turn, is a back-formation. The show also starred Delta Burke as the First Lady of the United States of America, who treated him like a servant instead of her body guard.
DAG was canceled after its first season, airing 17 episodes on NBC.
Secret Service agent Jerome Daggett was head of the Presidential Protection Detail's elite A-team, until he jumped in the wrong direction when an assassin opened fire on the President. After the humiliation in the news, he is subsequently demoted to the B-team, a dumping ground for loser agents charged with guarding the First Lady and her daughter, who treats him like a servant rather than the bodyguard/cop that he is.
